Some sad but not expected news about our sister, Jane Lumb. Following is the obituary published in the Auburn newspaper.
Jane B. Lumb, 90, of Fleming, passed away on September 28, 2017 at the Matthew House. She was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Elizabeth Peterson Bachman. Jane was a social worker for the Girl Scouts, and a professor at Oswego State University teaching sociology. In her free time she would volunteer at many different organizations giving to the causes she believed in. She served on the CT of C-S Presbyterian Women for many years.
She is survived by nieces and nephews and grandchildren, Daniel, Kristen, Jessica, and Rebecca Lumb
In addition to her parents, Jane was predeceased by her husband Frank J. Lumb.
A memorial service will held at 3PM on Saturday November 11, 2017 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 17 William Street, Auburn with Reverend Patrick Heery.
