The Rev. Earl Arnold gave a presentation on "Peace in Korea: History and Progress" at our Aug. 14 State Meeting.
Earl addressed the following points:
  • A brief history of the conflict in Korea
  • How Cayuga-Syracuse Presbytery played a role in getting the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) deeply involved in promoting peace in Korea.
  • Current efforts to bring peace and suggestions how you can support the Peace in Korea process that is going on today.
To learn more about the history of the conflict, Earl suggests books and articles by Bruce Cumings, the dean of Korean historians.
To learn more about the Presbyterian Church's involvement, Earl recommends getting involved with the Presbyterian Peace Network for Korea.
