JOHN 15:5
The Presbytery of Cayuga-Syracuse is regional organization resourcing thirty-three Presbyterian congregations and one new worship community in Central New York State. We are part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), a historic Protestant denomination, and have been a vital part of this region for more than 200 years. Our congregations are engaged in a wide variety of Christian mission and ministry in the communities in which they are located. We are a Matthew 25 Presbytery, which means our focus is on eradicating poverty, dismantling systemic racism and focusing on congregational vitality.
The Presbytery of Cayuga-Syracuse encompasses four counties of Central New York, extending as far north as Mexico, and as south as King Ferry. We minister from Aurora in the west and Morrisville in the east. Thirty-some congregations and one fellowship serve rural and urban communities and everything in-between.
The Presbytery holds regular standing meetings (six in 2022) as well as the occasional special meeting. All meetings through May 2022 will be via Zoom. The Docket is posted 10 days prior to each meeting and will also be available on the Events page of this website, along with the Zoom invite.
